Word Problem Types
Recently 2nd grade teachers attended a workshop to increase their knowledge on the different word problem types.  Can you tell the difference between a "Add To/Take From" problems and "Put Together/Take Apart" problems?

In Add To/Take From problems - ACTION is happening.   Something is coming or going.  However, in Put Together/Take Apart problems the group is static.  

What are some strategies your students are using to solve these problem?  Please comment and share.
